Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
Tempmail.im provides disposable email tools. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can contact us. It is written with privacy principles from the EU GDPR, US consumer privacy guidance, and California privacy expectations in mind.
Information we collect
We may collect temporary email addresses generated by the service, email tokens required to fetch inbox messages, message metadata and content delivered to temporary inboxes, account details you submit when registering, plan and subscription records, support emails, page views, event analytics, browser/device information, referrer and UTM data, cookies, session identifiers, and hashed IP addresses.
How we use information
We use information to provide temporary inboxes, retrieve messages, maintain user accounts, process plan access, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the website, measure first-party analytics, troubleshoot errors, answer support requests, enforce our Terms, and comply with lawful requests.
Temporary inbox content
Temporary inboxes are not private long-term email accounts. Anyone with access to an active temporary address or token may be able to view messages for that inbox. Do not use this service for banking, health care, government accounts, password recovery, confidential business, or any account you need to keep.
Cookies and analytics
We use first-party cookies to remember a visitor ID and session ID. These cookies help keep your temporary email session working and let us measure first-party analytics such as pageviews, events, funnels, traffic sources, and conversions. We do not depend on Google Analytics or external analytics providers for this system.
Legal bases for EU/EEA users
Where GDPR applies, we process information as needed to provide the service, based on our legitimate interests in security, abuse prevention and service improvement, to perform a contract when you create an account or buy a plan, to comply with legal obligations, and with consent where consent is required.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with hosting, infrastructure, payment, security, email, or support vendors that help operate the service; when required by law; to protect users and the service; or as part of a business transfer.
Retention
Temporary inbox data is kept only for the configured mailbox lifetime unless deleted earlier. Account, subscription, security, and analytics records may be kept as needed for business, security, tax, legal, and anti-abuse purposes. Analytics retention can be configured by the site administrator.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including in the EU/EEA, UK, California, and other US states, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about certain privacy practices. To make a request, contact us at [email protected].
California notice
California residents may request information about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, disclosures, and deletion where applicable. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
This service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including hashed IP storage where possible and prepared database statements. No internet service can guarantee complete security.
International use
Information may be processed in countries other than your own. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
